Job summary

AEP in San Angelo, TX seeks a Fleet Technician B to perform maintenance and repairs on sedans, light/medium/heavy trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. You will service hydraulic, braking, steering, exhaust and fuel systems and must live within 30 minutes of the service location.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and diesel repair experience. Two years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis experience is expected, with CDL/ASE potential qualifying within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
• Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and hydraulic systems, check components and replace parts as needed.
• Inspect and service braking, steering, exhaust, fuel and transmission systems on company vehicles.
• Assist in diagnosis of more complex problems and operate vehicles and related equipment safely.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work area; document and report as required.
