AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles and heavy equipment. The role involves servicing hydraulic systems, diesel engines, steering and braking systems, and HVAC components.

The technician must meet licensing requirements and complete company training. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of automotive diagnosis experience with hydraulics and diesel repair, and a valid driver's license.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
Graduation from automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Must obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of entry date into Fleet Technician B classification or vacate the job classification.
Must obtain Fluid Power Society Certification and two ASE certifications within 24 months of entry date or vacate the current job classification.

Mansioni

Perform maintenance/repairs on sedans, light/medium/heavy trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and hydraulic systems.
Inspect and repair A/C and heating systems, including refrigerant lines and condensers.
Troubleshoot and repair steering, braking, fuel, exhaust, and powertrain components.
Operate Company vehicles and related equipment; maintain tools and work area.
Attend training and assist in training other employees.
Direct work of assistants and report irregularities.
