AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role covers hydraulic, diesel, air brakes, and electrical systems across a range of vehicles and equipment.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of automotive diagnosis experience, CDL within 12 months, and ASE certifications. Travel and training may be involved as part of ongoing safety and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
• Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of entry date into the Fleet Technician B classification or vacate the job classification.
• Must obtain Fluid Power Society Certification and two ASE certifications within 24 months.

Responsabilités

• Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies of the Company’s specialized equipment.
• Service and repair hydraulic systems including troubleshooting and replacement of components.
• Service and repair heating and ventilation systems and A/C components.
• Troubleshoot and repair winch assemblies and steering systems.
• Service and repair air brake, hydraulic and electric braking systems.
• Inspect and service differentials, transmissions, and fuel/exhaust systems.
• Operate Company vehicles and associated equipment; maintain a clean work area.
• Attend training and assist in training other employees.
