American Electric Power Co. seeks a Fleet Technician B to maintain and repair boom/pedestal assemblies, hydraulic systems, A/C units, and braking systems on company vehicles and heavy equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of automotive diagnosis experience with hydraulic and diesel repair. It includes CDL Class A within 12 months, Fluid Power Society Certification, and two ASE certifications within 24 months, plus possible travel and shift variation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
• Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and related components, including troubleshooting.
• Service and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and accumulators.
• Inspect and repair A/C units, test for leaks, and replace compressors and related parts.
• Diagnose and repair steering, braking, fuel, exhaust, and transmission systems.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and related equipment; assist in training others.
