Job summary

Producers Dairy Foods Inc. in Fresno is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead a drivers team, coach performance, and drive continuous improvement across routing and distribution.

You will own training plans, ensure safety culture, and maintain fleet assets while meeting regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will optimize manpower and routes, manage shift duties, and collaborate on training development to elevate driver skills in line with company expectations,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willing to obtain a Class A CDL within two years.
• If CDL possessed, clean driving record and two years' driving experience.
• One to two years' supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with handheld computers and store receiving platforms desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Regulatory knowledge in DOT, OSHA, CHP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of drivers with coaching, training, performance management and development.
• Develop and execute technical training, including training development plans.
• Ensure reports understand, cascade and achieve distribution goals and KOIs.
• Own productivity within the group; ensure metrics are achieved.
• Maximize cost effectiveness through manpower and route scheduling.
• Participate in distribution objectives and productivity initiatives.
• Maintain distribution assets with proper maintenance; promote safety culture.
• Assist with investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (DOT, OSHA, CHP, EPA, Food Safety, SQF).
• Perform shift responsibilities, logs, and duty phone management as needed.
