Job summary

A leading dairy company is looking for a Fleet Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in ensuring efficient and safe vehicle operations. The role involves coordinating repairs, fostering a safety culture, and developing team member capabilities. Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma, at least three years of supervisory experience in fleet maintenance, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Dossier Systems and Gas Boy fueling systems is preferred.

Job description

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s vehicle maintenance programs are executed in an efficient, safe, and economical manner by providing leadership, and coordinating and directing Team Member activities engaged in servicing and repairing equipment and vehicles assigned to the Company.

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for team member engagement, development, and regulatory compliance as it relates to company vehicle assets. The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for demonstrating the Producers Dairy Mission Statement and utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) resources in building team capability and unity.

Essential Functions:
  • Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource, and sustain improvement opportunities.
  • Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
  • Contributing and educating others in support our cost‑conscious culture.
  • Leading the Fleet Maintenance Team to deliver the cost, quality, service, and reliability results.
  • Coordinating and scheduling maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability of the fleet.
  • Supporting and contributing to the development and success of warranty and policy programs for recovery of expenses.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for vehicle maintenance using known best practices.
  • Assisting in the direction of departmental activities in budget cycle requirements.
  • Leading compliance with or assisting in the establishment of programs, policies, and procedures to attract, develop, and retain a competent and motivated workforce, including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, training, engagement, performance management and coaching.
  • Assisting in the development and leadership of short‑and‑long‑range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance operations.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of Fleet Supervisory Experience
  • Strong and effective communication, math, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to anticipate.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships within organization.
  • Strong sense of urgency. Should be driven and self‑motivated.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities; meets deadlines and works well under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of shop software (Dossier Systems), fueling systems (Gas Boy)
Preferred:
  • Associates Degree in Heavy Truck repair or similar field
