Job summary

Ruan is seeking a transportation operations supervisor to oversee a fleet of drivers in Marianna, FL, working onsite with a Monday–Friday schedule and 7:00 AM–4:00 PM hours. The role emphasizes coaching drivers on safety and performance while coordinating loads, equipment and backhauls to maximize fleet utilization.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s in a relevant field or equivalent experience, 1–2 years in transportation, and solid knowledge of DOT rules, dispatch systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Transportation or Logistics or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in Transportation or similar industry role.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong working knowledge of dispatch systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and counsel drivers in safety, performance, productivity and morale. Supervise all activities of drivers.
• Direct and schedule driver's work. Plan, assign, and distribute daily work, coordinating loads, equipment and backhauls to maximize utilization.
• Develop daily delivery plan utilizing equipment, manpower and other resources to ensure an effective operation; organize, plan and implement transportation solutions for assigned customers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, vendors and other Ruan locations
• Perform administrative functions to include payroll, billing, driver counseling and post-accident reviews.
• Participate in the review and analysis of operating performance.
• Properly use the Ruan transportation management systems to ensure data is captured in near real-time.
• Monitor and promote safety and compliance with company policies and federal, state and local regulations.

This is a full-time position working onsite in Marianna, FL.

Independently coordinates and schedules a fleet of drivers according to customer requests in compliance with company rules and DOT regulations to maximize operational performance and customer satisfaction. Supervises activities of drivers and maintains daily communication with the customer on areas impacting operational performance.

Requirements

Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Transportation or Logistics or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

Experience: 1-2 of experience in Transportation or similar industry role.
