Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Equipment Superintendent to lead the S3D fleet operations at the Hanford site, overseeing field and shop teams, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role directs pre-planning, material staging, permits, and coordination of maintenance work across multiple crafts.

The position requires extensive supervisory experience in heavy equipment and construction environments, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and cost management.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 8 years of supervisory experience in commercial construction, transportation, equipment maintenance, plant operations or work control.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical field with 6 years supervisory experience in commercial construction, scaffolding, equipment maintenance, plant operations or work control.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related technical field with 4 years supervisory experience in commercial construction, transportation, production maintenance, plant operations or work control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality in performance of work.
• Perform all work safely with utmost concern for safety of self and others and compliance with procedures.
• Ensure environmental permits and regulations are followed without deviation.
• Field implementation of S3D work packages, instructions, and procedures to support maintenance activities.
• Review craft time records using established automated tools.
• Plan, direct, and control maintenance of fleet equipment and service documents.
• Monitor fleet usage and manage preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Schedule work and monitor progress to ensure quality of outcomes.
• Oversee equipment maintenance systems reporting and records management.

Education

HS Diploma or GED + 8 years supervisory experience

Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical field + 6 years supervisory experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related technical field + 4 years supervisory experience
