Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Lab Specialist to operate and maintain analytical radiological laboratory equipment at the Hanford site near Richland. You will develop procedures, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to training of scientific personnel under supervision.

The role requires strong knowledge of lab operations, safety, and environmental compliance, with exposure to CM/PM work packages and document control. 4x10 schedule, 6:30 a.m.–5 p.m., on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or equivalent education desired.
• Advanced degree may be substituted with two years of experience.
• Six years of experience in plant operations, chemistry, and maintenance coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage lab chemicals and supplies inventory.
• Develop work instructions for CM and PM work packages with Lab Method SME.
• Lead Job Hazard Analysis.
• Maintain CM and PM lab work control.
• Perform work safely with attention to self and others.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Report status of assignments with respect to schedule and budget.
• Maintain expertise in Analytical Lab activities and standards.
