The ideal candidate brings 10+ years as a diesel technician and 5+ years in shop leadership, with strong people management, budgeting, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of diesel technician experience.
• 5+ years of shop management or maintenance leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Solid computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of diesel technicians.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair operations to maximize fleet uptime.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Build lasting customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and resolving maintenance concerns.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing technicians.
• Manage shop budgets, labor productivity, inventory, and operating costs.
• Drive continuous improvement through safety meetings, performance coaching, and best practices.
