Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in McCook, IL is seeking a full-time Fleet Shop Manager to lead our in-house shop operations with hands-on trailer/tractor experience. The position includes a 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $96,000–$103,000 annually plus a potential 10% bonus.

Responsibilities include directing technicians, managing maintenance budgets, leveraging AssetWorks for asset tracking, and using PowerBI for KPI insights to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years related experience and 2+ years leadership, or HS diploma with 8+ years experience and 4+ years leadership.
• Valid driver's license and DOT-compliant driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage the in-house team of Technicians to ensure safety, performance, and cost control.
• Oversee maintenance operations, budgeting, parts inventory, and compliance with DOT/OSHA.
• Utilize AssetWorks to track assets, maintenance scheduling, and data analysis.
• Report KPIs through PowerBI dashboards and derive data-driven insights.
• Manage fleet maintenance budget and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Oversee repair and preventive maintenance to maintain high quality and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage the in-house team of Technicians to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance while controlling costs, minimizing vehicle downtime, maintaining accurate records, and driving initiatives to enhance productivity and service levels.

• Oversee fleet maintenance operations, including repair quality, parts inventory control, budgeting, transactional data quality, and compliance with company, state, and federal standards, including DOT and OSHA regulations

• Utilize AssetWorks to manage and track fleet assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintenance scheduling, and data analysis to improve asset performance and lifespan

• Utilize and report on key performance metrics (KPI's) through PowerBI dashboards, identify and provide data-driven insights to monitor facility performance and trends, and make informed decisions to optimize fleet operations and reduce expenses

• Manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations by monitoring expenses, analyzing financial metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance spending efficiency and reduce overall costs

• Leverage extensive maintenance experience to oversee and guide all repair and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across the fleet

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 plus years of related experience and 2 plus years of leadership experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma or Technical School Certification with 8 plus years of specific experience and 4 plus years of leadership experience

• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
