Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, located at the Martin Brower facility in Phoenix, seeks a Diesel Mechanic to service our fleet of tractors and trailers. The role focuses on diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing equipment with attention to safety and compliance.

You will document repairs in our online system, maintain accurate work orders, and may travel as needed. Requires own tools, valid license, and ideally CDL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR per DOT.
• CDL (A) desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring safety programs and proper use of tools and PPE.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of tractors and trailers.

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Pay: $33.00 - $37.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED with 3 plus years of related experience)
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
