Job summary

Reyes Holdings in Minnesota is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and rebuild fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will document work orders and preventive maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system, ensuring safety compliance and proper tool usage.

The role requires valid CDL awareness, ability to lift heavy weights, and may involve driving company or customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations.
• CDL-A highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift 50–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Document work orders and preventative maintenance in the online system.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic technology.
• Perform inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Maintain DOT safety compliance; use PPE, tools, and guarding.
• May drive Reyes fleet and customer vehicles; DOT file required.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Sunday- Wednesday 7am 5:30pm

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED with 3 plus years of related experience)
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
