Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection invites applications for the Community Assistant in the Fleet Services Division. You will provide customer service for internal and external fleet service clients and assist in coordinating vehicle maintenance, DMV registrations, and fleet reporting.

There are no formal education or experience requirements; the role requires the ability to understand simple instructions and to be understood in English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service for external/internal fleet service clients.
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal Fleet Service processes.
• Assist in scheduling delivery/pick up of DEP vehicles/equipment for repairs.
• Assist in processing DMV registrations for the agency’s vehicles.
• Assist in data entry and reporting; update and maintain records and prepare fleet reports using Fleet Focus and Geotab.
• Manage and maintain EZ Pass system including processing invoices and payments.
• Help organize special events and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Assist in general automotive services as needed.
