Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Fleet Safety Driver Trainer to ensure safety and regulatory compliance of drivers through comprehensive training and ongoing oversight. You will support all aspects of fleet safety, verify adherence to DOT rules, and promote a culture of safety across the organization.

The role requires driver training delivery, policy interpretation, and collaboration with locations, vendors, and management to reduce risk and enhance operational safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience in a dedicated CDL driver role within trucking.
• Valid driver’s license from resident state.
• Certified Smith System Driver Instructor or approved course.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, Federal and State laws.
• Conduct driver road tests for new hires and remedial training.
• Maintain records of driver training and policy adherence.
• Teach Smith System and other defensive driving courses.
