The NC Department of Transportation is seeking a Safety Officer II to evaluate heavy truck driver applicants, coordinate and conduct road testing and training, and manage the fleet safety program across Division 9. Mockups emphasize strong knowledge of MUTCD, OSHA standards, and the ability to develop and deliver safety training to large groups.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational safety, industrial technology, or related field with 2+ years of safety experience.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and OSHA safety standards.
• Experience developing, coordinating and presenting safety training to groups.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate heavy truck driver applicants and process driver training records.
• Manage and run the fleet safety program and safety audits.
• Deliver safety training including orientation, fleet safety, and related topics.
