Job summary

Weisiger Group is seeking a DOT Safety Specialist to manage the driver-facing Fleet Driver Program, ensuring FMCSA and DOT compliance, training, and risk mitigation. The role supports the Fleet Department and EHS, maintaining driver files, conducting coaching, and coordinating regulatory adherence across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has strong regulatory knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate across departments.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, 49 CFR regulations and HOS/ELD programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to coach drivers.
• Experience with telematics, safety data analysis, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce Fleet Safety policies and health and safety plans in collaboration with Fleet and EHS teams.
• Audit DQ files, MVRs and driver training compliance to ensure legal parameters are met.
• Lead driver training, coaching sessions, and incident reviews; prepare DOT audit documentation.
