Job summary

Walmart Indianapolis is seeking a safety operations professional to oversee driver performance and regulatory compliance within the transportation safety program. You will develop procedures, guide training, and coordinate with regional teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management or related field.
• 4 years’ experience in safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee driver performance and safety compliance programs.
• Develop, communicate, and update regulatory compliance procedures and guidelines.
• Provide ongoing safety training for drivers and staff.
• Monitor fleet safety metrics and maintain driver qualifications and inspections.
• Investigate collisions and injuries and support legal proceedings as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related field
