Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Fleet Safety Coordinator to oversee DOT compliance and maintain driver qualification files. You will act as the main liaison between Driver Managers and the Fleet Safety Department, ensuring documentation flow and professional communication with internal and external personnel.

The role involves audits, driver onboarding oversight, training programs (Smith System), and regular reviews to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Hands on and detailed oriented.
Good internal relationships.
Have Fleet Safety/DOT regulations as a top priority.
Knowledge of Driver Management On-line beneficial.
Knowledge of DOT regulations beneficial.
Certified as a Smith System Instructor or be able to obtain certification.
High School Diploma/GED required with some college preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct a weekly minimum audit for 10% of the complex fleet to ensure compliance.
Work closely with Driver Managers and HR to process new drivers and oversee compliance for all drivers.
Monitor and maintain Driver Qualification files in Driver Management On-line Program for accuracy.
Point of contact for complex management team for all Fleet Safety/DOT compliant processes.
Monitor driver hours of service records to ensure compliance and address all concerns.
Facilitate a monthly Accident Review Board Meeting to assign accountability.
Monitor Pro-Tread Driver Training Process.
Conduct Smith System Driver Training.
