Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Team Lead for Readiness and Response within the Fleet Operations organization. You will lead the end-to-end readiness and incident response for Zoox Robotaxi and Mapping Vehicle fleets, ensuring service readiness and operational excellence.

You will bridge depot workflows with real-time fleet responsiveness, manage a hybrid workforce of full-time Shift Leads and contingent staff, and act as the main on-site escalation point for critical incidents while driving safety and uptime

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in an operations-based environment.
• Experience managing people leaders at the Shift Lead or Supervisor level.
• Contingent workforce management experience.
• Vendor & partner management with SLAs.
• Critical thinking under pressure with data-driven decisions.
• Technical aptitude to understand autonomous vehicle systems.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Leadership to optimize fleet utilization and market needs.
• Oversee execution of Readiness and Response operations for uptime goals.
• Directly manage and mentor FTE Shift Leads and contingent workforce.
• Serve as primary on-site escalation path for critical field incidents and service interferences.
• Provide administrative and people leadership for a multidisciplinary team including onboarding and performance management.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on ground for vehicle recovery and roadside assistance.
• Identify bottlenecks in depot workflows and implement process innovations.
• Ensure OSHA health and safety compliance and audit-ready vehicle documentation.
• Own analysis and reporting of site KPIs and vendor performance.
• Travel less than 20%.
