Job summary

Zoox seeks a Team Lead for Readiness and Response to drive end-to-end operational integrity of the Zoox Robotaxi and Mapping Vehicle Fleet in Phoenix. You will unite vehicle preparation with live field incident oversight, ensuring every vehicle is service ready and missions run with excellence.

You will lead a hybrid team of FTE Shift Leads and contingent staff, act as on-site escalation for critical incidents, and coordinate with vendors to meet uptime goals while sustaining safety and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in an operations-based environment.
• Experience managing people leaders (Shift Lead/Supervisor).
• Experience leading contingent or contractor workforces.
• Vendor/partner management with SLA accountability.
• Strong data-driven decision making under pressure.
• Technical aptitude to understand autonomous vehicle systems.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience.
• Commitment to safety with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fleet Ops leaders to optimize fleet utilization.
• Oversee execution of Readiness and Response strategies.
• Directly manage FTE Shift Leads and contingent staff.
• Manage on-site escalations for critical field incidents.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for vehicle recovery and service.
• Improve depot workflows to reduce downtime.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and audit-ready documentation.
• Analyze and report site KPIs and vendor performance.
• Travel requirements: less than 20%.
