Job summary

lrsrecycles in Michigan is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair the fleet, including wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, man lifts, and grinders. The role emphasizes safety as the number one priority and daily uptime through preventive maintenance.

The mechanic will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, keep thorough servicing records, and work either independently or as part of a team to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required.
• Completion of college or vocational or technical training is preferred.
• CDL driver license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles, equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Perform services, diagnostics, and parts replacement for company fleet.
• Aid in the repair and adjustments or replacements on components and systems such as tires, hoses, and electrical systems.
• Service conveyors and various sorting equipment.
• Complete and maintain records of servicing operations such as work orders and daily status reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
