Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in automotive or heavy-duty parts with stock intake, receiving, stocking and inventory record keeping.
• High school diploma or GED; additional education may substitute for experience.
• Valid driver’s license required; licenses must be kept current.
• Demonstrated time management and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stockrooms and warehouses, ensure stock is requisitioned, received and issued.
• Generate reports on usage and value of items using spreadsheets and inventory software.
• Interpret contracts and liaise with city suppliers to ensure pricing and delivery.
• Develop work plans, assign priorities, and supervise staff to ensure coverage.
• Resolve daily operational issues and promote teamwork and good communication.
• Set performance goals, document outcomes and recognize strong performance.
