Job summary

Transdev in Englewood, CO is seeking a Parts Clerk to support the maintenance department. You will physically locate stock, issue parts to technicians, and accurately record data to ensure safe, reliable bus fleets.

The role involves daily cycle counts, orderly parts organization, and collaboration with the Parts Manager on special orders. A forklift license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to utilize standard computer programs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Some knowledge of parts and tools for diesel equipment preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays; minimum one weekend day shift.
• Possess a forklift license or obtain within 90 days.
• ASE Part Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Gather required parts for technicians and ensure all parts are checked out correctly before dispensing.
• Perform daily cycle-counts of inventory and upload into the system.
• Keep the parts department organized and clean.
• Inform Parts Manager of special orders or urgent parts that require ordering.
• Receive, label, and store parts from Vendors.
• Package and label core returns and notify Parts Manager for pickup.
• Conduct hourly shop walks to identify misplaced parts.
• Inspect the Forklift daily.
• Break down boxes and pallets and dispose accordingly.
• Maintain shelf accuracy and proper part placement.
• Manage inventory quality and vendor relationships.
