Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Fleet Parts Specialist to lead and participate in ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, and delivering automotive materials for the fleet storeroom, warehouse, or yard.

You will supervise lower fleet part specialists, manage inventory with computerized systems, and ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and documents in a municipal setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in automotive parts inventory control preferred.
• Three years of automotive or heavy-duty parts inventory control experience with catalog research.
• Six months of lead or supervisory responsibilities required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities of lower fleet part specialists.
• Monitor and maintain inventory records and internal controls.
• Use computerized systems to track stock levels and orders.
• Process requisitions and price agreements to maintain inventory.
• Review purchase orders and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
