Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance Service Inc in Knoxville, TN is seeking a detail-oriented Parts & Procurement Specialist to source, purchase, and manage parts for fleet maintenance. You will work closely with technicians, vendors, and management to ensure timely availability of high-quality parts at competitive prices.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in procurement or inventory, strong Excel skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in parts procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or related fields.
• Experience in fleet maintenance, automotive, or diesel industries preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure automotive, diesel, and fleet maintenance parts and supplies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing agreements to maximize value.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Track orders from placement through delivery and resolve supply chain issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control procedures.
• Coordinate with technicians and service managers to identify parts requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, quality, availability, and service.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, receiving, and inventory records.
• Research alternative suppliers and parts solutions to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and quality standards.
• Assist in forecasting parts usage and supporting budgeting efforts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes.
