Job summary

The City of Dover, New Hampshire, is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support Fleet Maintenance. You will receive, issue, and track parts, process repair orders, and collaborate with mechanics to secure required items for vehicle repairs.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers 40 hours per week with competitive benefits. The position involves cycle counts, year-end preparation, and occasional forklift operation or material handling as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years minimum, and at least 2 years’ experience with inventory control and monitoring.
• ASE licensure would be preferred; NH CDL-B with air-brake and tanker endorsements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Purchase, receive, and maintain inventory for Fleet Services Division.
• Stock and post incoming orders; review fleet-related service requests and repair orders.
• Work with Mechanics to order parts and ensure City Purchase Orders are set up and approved.
• Provide mechanics with parts for pre-scheduled repairs and ensure invoices match delivered goods.
• Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts and assist with year-end inventory preparation.
