Job summary

Transdev is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Clerk in Inglewood, California to support our bus maintenance operations. You will work with technicians, suppliers, and operations staff to keep parts stocked and processes running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, solid data-entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This role requires strong communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with mechanics, vendors, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the bus maintenance team, including technicians, supervisors, managers, and the client.
• Perform parts research and purchasing to support timely bus repairs.
• Track parts inventory transactions, perform physical inventory counts, and help manage stock levels to ensure availability of critical parts.
• Process invoices and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely payments and smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain accurate work order records, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety-related documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to purchase parts, coordinate deliveries, assist with sublet service contracting, and resolve operational issues.
• Help ensure smooth shop operations by minimizing downtime through efficient clerical support.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance shop and office functions.
