Job summary

POOLCORP, headquartered in Covington, LA, seeks an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to optimize internal transportation costs and asset utilization. You will lead a team and coordinate with field locations to ensure cost-effective, reliable delivery of products.

Responsibilities include monitoring fleet expenditures, assessing capacity, and driving continuous improvements across driver policies and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with fleet maintenance management and warehouse equipment procurement.
• Knowledge of industry related software helpful, i.e. TMW-Appian, Descartes, Roadnet. Samsara
• Thorough knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, OSHA, DOT and other related State and Federal regulations.
• Fleet Analytics and Utilization experience.
• Results driven, self-starter with the ability to lead a team in a deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Excellent communications skills, both written

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall efficiency of internal fleet and transportation expenses.
• Collaborates with locations to meet customer delivery needs cost-effectively.
• Monitors costs and directs corrective actions across field locations.
• Assesses fleet capacity and recommends reductions or changes.
• Analyzes fleet asset additions requested by field management.
• Monitors utilization reporting for all fleet assets.
• Focuses on cost savings and directs maintenance to economical providers.
• Maintains awareness of driver and procurement policies.
• Supports operational functions related to delivery and warehouse equipment.
• Improves fleet operations and communicates new procedures
