Job summary

Sysco seeks an Operations leader to manage the fleet maintenance department, overseeing shop staff, safety, parts procurement and cost control. The role requires coordinating preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections and repairs while ensuring compliance with company programs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and liaising with other departments to optimize fleet operations and asset utilization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years maintenance experience or equivalent experience
• CDL Class A preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• PPE and vehicle inspection knowledge required

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily fleet maintenance and shop safety.
• Oversees labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepares work schedules; coordinates with other departments.
• Manages parts inventory; issues purchase orders.
• Administers fleet maintenance scheduling and preventative inspections.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT and safety regulations.
• Audits documentation: work orders, maintenance logs, inspections.
• Supports budget management and cost control measures.
• Leads staff development, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
