Job summary

TForce Freight, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Fleet Operations to oversee a safe, reliable fleet and control costs. You will supervise staff, coordinate maintenance, review repair orders, and work with drivers and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient operations.

The role requires ASE certification and hands-on knowledge of fleet maintenance, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and safety. Illinois location, standard business hours with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising fleet and/or administrative staff.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
• Understanding of fleet cost controls and budgeting.
• Able to review repair orders and invoices for accuracy.
• Familiarity with safety, regulatory and appearance standards.
• Experience coordinating with drivers, vendors and internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative personnel in the fleet department.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, audits and cost controls.
• Coordinate repairs with internal and external groups.
• Review automotive expenses and approve budgets.
• Coach and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with policies.
