Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions in the United States is seeking a Permanent Fleet Supervisor to oversee a safe, reliable fleet of vehicles. The role includes supervising mechanics, managing maintenance budgets, and ensuring cost-effective operations on a 10-hour shift from 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years in automotive fleet and prior supervisory experience. Location preference within the job area and relocation support not offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to vehicle.
• Ability to manage equipment repair and oversee corrections with tools and machinery.
• Ability to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Schedules preventative maintenance inspections and reviews results, monitors repairs, and performs vehicle audits to ensure safety and standards.
• Analyzes equipment or vehicle failures to determine root causes and plans repairs with internal and external groups.
• Ensures adequate inventory levels (parts, tires, etc.) to support processes.
• Adheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and disposal guidelines to stay within cost plan.
• Reviews and approves automotive expenses.
• Determines employee training needs for continuous development plans.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves performance issues.
