Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations, develop strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain records, and prepare performance reports.

The role requires strong fleet knowledge, data analysis, safety focus, and collaboration with supply chain and finance to optimize costs and drive efficiency. You will lead initiatives and coordinate with external vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in fleet management.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management and operation of the fleet, including vehicles, drivers, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement efficient fleet management strategies to optimize utilization and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal vehicle safety regulations.
• Plan, review, and approve vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to maximize reliability.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics such as fuel consumption, utilization, and expenses.
• Coordinate with supply chain and vendors to ensure fleet resource availability.
• Promote a culture of safety by coordinating with the Safety team.
• Maintain accurate records including maintenance logs, driver records, and compliance docs.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on fleet performance for management.
