Job summary

Vestas in North America seeks a Program Manager, Fleet Operations to lead strategic fleet initiatives across the region. You will shape the operating model, govern fleets, and drive programs from planning through execution and sustainment, partnering with site managers and leaders to optimize safety, cost, and performance.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, budget oversight, and continuous improvement, with a focus on North American fleet readiness and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in fleet management or related fields.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-wide programs and cross-functional initiatives.
• Extensive experience with vehicle lifecycle management, fleet operations, vendor management, and performance improvement.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to partner with stakeholders and deliver results through collaboration.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power BI preferred; PM/ CAFM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Fleet Operations strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Establish fleet governance, policies, standards, and performance metrics.
• Manage strategic initiatives to improve fleet utilization, readiness, safety, and TCO.
• Present performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.
• Oversee development and continuous improvement of fleet programs and initiatives.
• Guide project activities through Site Managers and leaders; anticipate issues and mitigate delays and risk.
• Coordinate vehicle acquisition, maintenance, replacement, and disposal strategies.
