Job summary

WHC Worldwide (zTrip division) seeks a visionary Vice President of Fleet Operations to lead fleet strategy, maintenance operations, asset lifecycle management, and safety initiatives. This executive will drive reliability, efficiency, and capital planning across a large North American fleet.

The role requires proven leadership of large fleets, deep understanding of fleet management and DOT compliance, and the ability to partner with executives to shape strategy and growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior leadership experience in fleet operations, transportation, logistics, maintenance management, or related industry.
• Proven success leading large-scale fleet operations and maintenance organizations.
• Strong understanding of fleet management, vehicle lifecycle planning, preventative maintenance, and asset utilization.
• Experience overseeing maintenance facilities, repair operations, and fleet performance programs.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet compliance requirements, vehicle safety standards, and risk management practices.
• Experience managing budgets, capital expenditures, operational KPIs, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-development abilities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities.
• Results-driven leader committed to safety, efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all fleet operations and maintenance functions.
• Develop and execute fleet strategies that support safety, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Establish performance objectives and accountability measures that drive fleet effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on fleet utilization, vehicle readiness, maintenance performance, and cost management.
• Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership regarding fleet planning, capital investments, and operational strategy.
• Ensure alignment between fleet initiatives and organizational growth objectives.
