Job summary

WM is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee all fleet maintenance operations and manage daily shop activities to keep 45 trucks safe, reliable, and cost-effective. The role is based in Manassas, VA, with a 7:00 AM start Monday–Friday and occasional Saturday work, leading a team of 9–10 employees, including Technicians and Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of Degree, a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years previous experience (in addition to education requirements).
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and reliable vehicles to meet operational needs.
• Lead maintenance managers to optimize performance and cost.
• Review capital equipment requisitions per corporate guidelines.
• Ensure effective utilization of vehicle assets and uptime.
• Maintain staffed maintenance shops and trained mechanics.
• Ensure compliance with WM’s safety and regulatory standards.
