Job summary

WM is seeking a Fleet Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Chesapeake, VA. You will provide hands-on leadership for a fleet of 70+ vehicles and supervise a team of 13 technicians, prioritizing repair and preventive maintenance tasks to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds a strong, accountable team, and ensures work complies with company standards while coordinating daily shop activities and reporting on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirements).
• Valid driver's license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop.
• Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.
• Reviews driver repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.
• Performs mechanical duties as needed.
• Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed.
• Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and conducting disciplinary action as needed.
• Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.
• Creates and submits reports as necessary.
