Job summary

8Fleet is seeking a Fleet Supervisor in Los Angeles to oversee daily shift operations, manage driver assignments, and ensure efficient movement of vehicles and drivers. You will monitor schedules, respond to real-time issues, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and experience with GPS tracking and dispatch software. Weekend/Thursday-Sunday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in transportation or logistics environment; supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable with tech tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations and monitor schedules and vehicle locations.
• Assign drivers to routes to maximize productivity and minimize idle time.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers and operations staff via multiple channels.
• Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and safety records.
• Document shift activities and incidents; ensure accurate records.
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
• Identify process improvements and implement efficiency strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
