Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Texas to coordinate our dedicated fleet, optimize driver and equipment utilization, and ensure on-time service to customers. You will supervise schedulers, clerks, spotters, and drivers; handle payroll data, data entry in TMW, invoicing support, and daily end-of-shift reporting, while identifying improvement initiatives.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or 1–5 years supervisory experience, with TMW and PeopleNet experience preferred, strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or at least 1-5 years of supervisory experience
• High School Diploma required
• Experience with TMW and People Net preferred
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of transportation / mechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as necessary
• Excellent talent management and team building skills
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills specifically with external clients
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at select locations

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision to staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Manages driver scheduling process and payroll data
• Coordinates load completions and data entry into TMW
• Coordinates with managers on the customer invoicing process and reconciles common carrier invoice and approvals
• Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner
• Coordinates the maintenance of equipment with management and fleet
• Drafts and submits daily end of shift report
• Makes recommendations to management on initiatives and programs to improve operations and works on those programs
