Job summary

The Smithsonian Institution seeks a Fleet Management Specialist to support the Transportation Program, handling shuttle services, cargo transport, and event-related mobility.

You will assist with asset intake, inspections, and data maintenance in FMIS and ERP, and help manage fuel card operations with invoicing and reconciliation, while supporting fleet communications and program updates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 in the Federal service.
• Experience with mobile asset intake, inspection, and maintenance tracking.
• Experience entering/verifying data in FMIS or similar asset-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist intake, inspection, and maintenance scheduling of mobile assets.
• Maintain data accuracy in FMIS, ERP, and related systems.
• Support Fuel Card Program operations: transaction reviews and invoicing.
• Assist with asset disposal and fleet program communications.
