Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a skilled Mechanic Fleet in Santa Clara, CA to maintain and repair mobile equipment in company shops or on-site. You will maximize equipment availability through proactive preventative maintenance and effective diagnostics.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, brake inspections, and coordinating with supervisors. Safety rules and PPE usage are mandatory on-site.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required.
• Must have own tools up to 1 ¼.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to equipment including trucks and heavy construction equipment.
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating and oil changes.
• Perform routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and electronics on concrete mixer trucks.
• Create work orders with legible, accurate information.
