Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a skilled Mechanic to diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies. Some regional travel may be required.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, and a valid driver's license; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Opportunities exist to advance within a global leader in building materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers and wheeled vehicles per standard methods.
• Discuss complex repairs with Terminal Manager or Supervisor as needed.
• Enforce CEMEX safety policies and OSHA regulations on shop floor.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedules and keep accurate work orders.
• Repair electrical systems, hydraulics, and perform welding when needed.

Skills

Bi-lingual Spanish

Driver's License (Class A/B CDL)

Forklift certification

TWIC access or willingness to obtain

Safety compliance (OSHA)

Education
