Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of fleet equipment, including ready mix trucks and semi tractors, with a focus on maximizing uptime through preventive maintenance.

You will diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment, replace worn parts, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The role requires attention to safety and the ability to work on-site in the Odessa area.

Qualifications

• Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to fleet equipment.
• Use diagnostic equipment and calibration devices to determine required repairs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, brakes, and steering problems related to equipment and components.
• Perform maintenance operations in accordance with technical specs, safety, and regulations.
• Create work orders on repairs and services and input daily repair information in the maintenance database.
• Test fleet equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with safety and regulations.
• Maintain FMCSA logs and DOT inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to fleet equipment.
• Inspect and service fleet assets including trucks and tractors.
• Input and track maintenance data in the system.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and proper PPE usage.
