Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair its fleet including ready mix trucks and tractors in the United States. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.

You’ll work closely with the maintenance team, create accurate work orders, and document repairs in the maintenance database. A CDL and diesel mechanic experience are preferred, with a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A or B CDL preferred.
• 3 years related experience or mechanic school graduate.
• Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to fleet equipment.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine required repairs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance including lubricating and oil changes.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, brakes, and steering issues.
• Create work orders and input repair information in the maintenance database.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure performance and safety compliance.
• Rebuild or fabricate parts.
• Maintain FMCSA logs, DOT records and brake certifications.
