Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Fleet Mechanic B to inspect, service, repair and maintain vehicles, trailers, aerials and power equipment. Work will be in service garages and on occasional job sites; you will need to lift up to 50 pounds and work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of automotive/truck experience, CDL Class A (or ability to obtain within 3 months), and ASE certifications or equivalents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years verifiable automotive/truck experience required.
• CDL Class A or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 6 ASE automotive/truck certifications or equivalents required.
• Ability to read and understand English; basic math; basic computer skills.
• Must furnish standard/metric tools per fleet list.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair and maintain vehicles, trailers, aerials and related equipment.
• Work primarily in service garages with some on-site field work.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline and diesel systems and perform repairs.
