Job summary

Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to assist with maintenance for the vehicle fleet, repair work, record keeping, and parts inventory to keep all company vehicles operating safely and economically.

Typical duties include preventive maintenance, updating fleet software, coordinating with outside repair services, maintaining tools and inventory, and safely operating bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Servicing of aerial hydraulics systems is required.
• Maintenance of gas/diesel engines and air brakes.
• Ability to read technical materials and write routine reports.
• Operate forklifts and maintain driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
• Maintain fleet software and inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with outside repair services for complex repairs.
• Keep shop clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other vehicles for inspections.
