Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on the fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safe, efficient operation in compliance with company and regulatory standards, with a focus on proactive maintenance and cost-effective repairs.

The role requires 18+ years old, a valid US driver’s license (CDL-A preferred), and at least 1 year of mechanical experience. We offer competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits in Bentonville, AR.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license; CDL-A preferred.
• Mechanics may provide their own tools; shop will supply large-diameter and specialty tools.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic, preferably with fleet vehicles or commercial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis.
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance.
• Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment such as trackhoes, backhoes, and other specialized machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
• Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Other duties as assigned.
