Job summary

Synergen in Bossier City, LA is seeking a Mechanic to maintain the company fleet and equipment. The role covers service, repair, and overhaul in shop or on location, following manufacturers’ recommendations.

You will diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical analyses, operating cranes, welders, and other tools. Qualified candidates have technical school certification and may need a CDL within 90 days; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential;

Qualifications

• Technical School certification preferred.
• Experience with 3/4 ton up to 18-wheelers and heavy equipment preferred, not required.
• Able to obtain a Chauffeur's License or Class C CDL within 90 days of employment.
• Able to pass and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
• Knowledge and proper use of special tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
• Must know engine operation theory and components.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision; good communication.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul per manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Repairs equipment in shop or at field locations and responds to maintenance requests.
• Repairs components by removing/replacing parts as needed.
• Uses diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify faults.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic analyses.
• Operates shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors, presses, grinders and tire servicing equipment.
• Lifts/moves heavy parts using PPE and basic tooling; assists team members.
