Xcel Energy is hiring a Fleet Mechanic B to inspect, service, repair and maintain vehicles and power equipment in our garages and on job sites. This role requires the ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems and to perform both minor and major repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualified applicants will have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years in automotive/truck field, and a CDL Class A (or ability to obtain within 3 months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3 years of continuous work history in automotive/truck service repair or related field.
• CDL Class A or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 6 ASE certifications or equivalent certifications as determined by the Company.
• Ability to read/understand English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair and maintain vehicles, trailers, aerials and other power operated equipment.
• Work primarily in company service garages with occasional field work.
• Operate safely, independently or in team environments and adhere to company standards.
