Job summary

Solar Transport is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee daily dispatch and fleet operations across designated driver territories, ensuring on-time delivery and service excellence. Youll serve as the primary contact for drivers, balancing service expectations with safety, compliance, and performance targets.

Youll coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and carrier partners to maximize capacity, monitor schedules, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience coaching drivers or frontline staff.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to analyze challenges and adapt quickly.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch and fleet operations for assigned driver territories.
• Serve as primary supervisor for drivers with coaching and feedback.
• Monitor driver schedules for DOT compliance and policies.
• Partner with Customer Service, Operations and carriers to maximize capacity.
• Analyze performance and implement improvements for efficiency and satisfaction.
• Ensure driver safety, accurate pay docs, and adherence to procedures.
